Congratulations Obama!

November 6th, 2008

We rang in the era of change last night at a party at Nonstop Riot. Spirits were high as Obama was announced President Elect. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

ACN-354 w7 Journaling

November 4th, 2008

Note that “journaling” is different from our normal “journal” assignments.

Last week our class hooked up with the journaling class to take portraits in partners, develop some of the best shots, and use this week’s class to do a journal page to give to the subject as a portrait.

I missed last week, so I used recent holiday and vacation inspiration to do the following three pages.

Trick or Treat

Calm Yoga

Fiery Yoga

The yoga pages I’ll put in my yoga teacher training journal…and not sure what to do with the Halloween page, but it’s got a layer of chocolate in there that smells oh so yummy!

Shoe Shopping

November 3rd, 2008

On Saturday Brody and I stumbled across our local shoe store’s going out of business sale. I decided to take full advantage and bulk up my work wardrobe with four new pairs.

Here were the fun ones I got to wear today. More to come!

Roses

November 2nd, 2008

We have a couple rose bushes at the new house that will be torn out and replaced with new landscaping. In order to enjoy what’s there I cut some flowers and made a beautiful arrangement that brightens up the apartment.

Halloween at the House

November 1st, 2008

Last night Brody and I were joined at the new house by his brother David and girlfriend Julie to pass out candy to the trick or treaters. We have a great neighborhood for Halloween and had nearly 200 kids come by. Having grown up in the boon docks this is the first time I’ve ever really had the opportunity to pass out candy, and I can’t wait for it again next year.

Yoga Retreat: Day 4

October 25th, 2008

Saturday morning we awoke early and practiced at the cafe next door.

That afternoon we had another great practice at the hacienda. It lasted nearly two hours and we played around with drop backs and some crazy sequences that made the time fly by.
